Steps of "Journey of a Dream" from Joseph's life

1. BIRTH of a dream

    Genesis 37:5-8 NIV

5 Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more. 6 He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had: 7 We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.”

8 His brothers said to him, “Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said.

2. DELAY of a dream

   When your dream is birthed, it immediately goes to delay and things do not go as you hope. It was slow, it was frustrating, nothing happened, this is the point when you start to have self-doubt.

    Biggest Fight = Discouragement & Self-Doubt

    When you have a dream, it will go through a delay, then you need to fight your discouragement and your self-doubt. 

    Joseph was on the rise in Potiphar's house, but just when he thought he was one step closer to his dream, more dramatic events happened. Potiphar's wife seduced him. This story has more drama than K-drama 😆

3. DEATH of a dream

    Even Jesus has to go on death on a cross. If you want resurrection, you have to go through death. God allows Godly dreams to die, so in that process, we learn to trust and have faith in Him.

    The devil and other people will always attack the dream and the dreamer. When you are in a crisis, that is the time you have to come to church, read the Bible, pray and worship. God can turn DEATH into RESURRECTION. This is not time to give up, this is a time to fight on!

God will turn the MESS you are in into the MESSAGE of your life. God will make our TEST become our TESTIMONY. God will turn our WEAKNESS into a WEAPON. So DO NOT GIVE UP on your dreams.

    Maybe some of us have scars, have been hurt, betrayed, even attacked by the devil and other people. Let the wounds heal, and after healing, you have the scars that will change the world. God will use those scars that are in your life and make people believe. We got to deal with the heart. We have got to let God heals the wounds.

    Your dreams will go through a delay and death. There is no resurrection without death. We want the power of the resurrection of Christ, but we do not want the fellowship of His sufferings. We want the fire of Pentecost, but we do not want Calvary. 

4. RESURRECTION of a dream

    Genesis 40:6-7 NIV

6 When Joseph came to them the next morning, he saw that they were dejected. 7 So he asked Pharaoh’s officials who were in custody with him in his master’s house, “Why do you look so sad today?”

    Joseph himself had enough problems, but he was still able to saw the cupbearer and the baker were sad and down. He could still feel for others. How do you resurrect your dreams? Make the dreams of others come true and God will make your dreams come true.
